If your company needs help finding the right workers for the job, you’re not alone. According to the National Association of Manufacturers, 80 percent of its member companies are having trouble finding qualified employees for today’s high-tech workplace — and this problem is getting worse as older workers retire.

Partially funded by grants from the U.S. Department of Labor, the Advanced Manufacturing Center is designed to assist companies:

  • hire career-ready employees
  • train new hires
  • train your existing workforce

It’s like having your own HR consulting firm — at up to 50% of the cost.

The Center uses a nationally recognized job skills assessment system — WorkKeys — to funnel potential employees to your company that meet your specific job criteria. This demand-driven, flexible-entry-flexible-exit (FEFE) system has proved to be highly effective in preparing job candidates, leading to greatly improved performance and retention.

“Our company adopted WorkKeys® a few years ago and found it to be effective in reducing turnover. After a pause we have returned to using WorkKeys® in our hiring process realizing the value the system offers us in identifying capable potential employees, quickly, effectively and economically.”
